TITANIC: it happened 100 years ago!

One hundred years ago, the unsinkable Titanic sank in the icy waters of the North Atlantic Ocean.

It happened on the night of April 15, 1912. The luxury ocean liner Titanic was lost after hitting an iceberg . There were few lifeboats that saved only 700 of her passengers.

THE EMPLOYMENT - a short animation film

Have you discussed the World of Work in English class? This is for you, 11th grade students!

‘El Empleo’/ ‘The Employment’ is a very critical short animation film by the director Santiago 'Bou' Grasso, from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This film is about an anonymous man who performs his usual trip to work, immersed in a world where the utilization of people as objects is an everyday thing.

‘El Empleo’/ ‘The Employment’ is a film about the use of the man by the man.
The objectualization of the human being in our society is shown allegorically in a very particular way: a world where everyone is used as an object.
With dark humor and a critical look over the issue, we explore the place of the human being in the modern societies, searching for a deep reflection from the audience when facing the film's point of view.

Asking for change or CHANGE?

Is he asking for change, or is he asking for CHANGE?
  • change [noun] when something becomes different, or the result of something becoming different
  • change [noun] money which is coins rather than notes
Follow this man as he affects multiple peoples' lives with just one dollar, proving that it doesn't take much to be the change in someone's life.

An inspiring short film written and directed by Sharon Wright.

What do you think? Can you change someone's life with less than a dollar? An euro?
